How to look a life ?

Life is a God's gift. All life is precious and each of us are lucky to be born as a human being, when God had a choice of creating us into any other  living being like animal, tree or even an insect. We should feel blessed because God made us in his image and we have all the senses to look, feel, move, taste, speak and to create something new in this world.

This privileged human life also give us a sense to live every day with a new experience and learning for self and a purpose for others. With an average life span of 60 to 80 yrs., this life provides us enough opportunity to play various roles from a child to a son/daughter, brother/sister, Husband/wife, father/mother, uncle/aunt, grandfather/grandmother, Friend, Teacher, Senior, Colleagues, neighbor, citizen, leader, mentor etc. If you notice, we are constantly changing to adopt to these roles to lead a life. Moreover, all of these roles are interconnected by something called relation or relationship. Our life becomes happy when this relationship is good and stable. The trouble arises when we’re unable to balance these relationships or situations that cause us distress and frustration.

How is life changing?

In this fast moving digital world, people are only looking to gain knowledge about each and everything irrespective of its purpose. Plenty of information is flowing day in and day out through media and internet. Are they really making you happy? Most of these information are either irrelevant, misleading or misguiding. Even if it's a good one,it's either too early for our society to accept or difficult for individuals to adopt

But these are forced into our mind due to social compulsion, peer pressure or life style race !!. Why this hurry and rush? Is this change good for the society? Yes, it’s true that country is growing and adoption to the modern technology and lifestyle is important and necessary, but that can’t be done at the cost of compromising our own tradition, culture, practices, family bonds etc  which has built human values from centuries together.

In the past, we had our family elders, school teachers, temple priests, family doctors, community leaders, scholars etc., who in the name of religion, discipline, family tradition, God fear and with few other means had helped to glue the  families within the cultural boundaries. Moreover they acted as a friend, a philosopher, guide and counselor to identify and address human relationship issues. But today, neither do we have such people in the society nor do we make an attempt to build such relationships beyond our families. Instead we start developing interactions with unknown faces and people through email, chat, SMS, facebook and other social networking sites.

Change is inevitable and mankind needs to adopt to the changes in order to survive. But what’s more important is the way in which transition needs to be done. It has to be a gradual and logical process. We should not completely ignore the past and blindly jump into the new, there should be a balance. Today, these constant changes and the imbalance to adopt is causing a ripple effect in the society which in turn is affecting human behaviors.

How this change is impacting your life?

In this modern world everyone is aware that both body and mind needs to be healthy to live a happy and a peaceful life. But we more often, tend to ignore the importance and priority that needs to be given to our mind as compared to our body. Our body and mind communicates to us regularly and it does the same with more rigor whenever it’s not at ease. That’s when it becomes a disease.

Body throws signals and symptoms like head ache, cold, sneeze, pains, allergy etc to show that it's not at ease. Obviously, it triggers an immediate attention and we rush to doctor for treatment or we go for a complete heath check up to find the problem and take corrective actions.

Similarly, our mind also throws signals and symptoms like - frequent anger, depression, anxiety, sleeplessness, dislike, loneliness, Stress etc whenever it's not at ease. But we never care about these symptoms nor do we take any measures to identify the problem. Aggravation of these symptoms takes a toll on the key essence of life which is your happiness, peace of mind, your relationships, family, career, health and what not?!

So, how do we address this dis-ease in your mind?  There is a social stigma to go and approach someone about this problem. Moreover today's medical world scares you with so many jargons and terms to create a hype.

A simple solution to handle such mind related dis-ease is by going through a counselling Session as a first step before you jump into any medical conclusion.

What is Counselling ?
